Godard's Latest Creation...

So anyone that reads this blog often knows I'm passionate about Michael Godard. There hasn't been many works out of him this year due to his daugter Paige's illness. She passed away a month ago due to brain cancer and he's just now getting back into the studio.
I received these photos today and they are of Godard, back in the studio within the past couple days, and putting the finishing touches on his newest work.

This is such a gorgeous piece. There will be 200 Artist's Proofs at $1,395 and only 20 special "Godard" editions whose price has not been set yet. The original of this sold within moments of the email being sent out.

Party With A Purpose

This is the much hyped, first ever margarita painting by Michael Godard. If you look at the stars in the sky above the Dallas city-scape, you will see they spell out "Paige".

Godard has outdone himself again! Burdened by Paige's intense struggle, he still found time this fall to create the 1st ever Margarita piece, a new original called "Party With A Purpose".
Prints are available only through OMG Gallery in Plano, Tx (469-366-0286) and proceeds from sales go to benefit Dallas Children's Charities and the Paige Godard Cancer Connection.
For Godard fans and anyone who's every licked a salty rim, this piece is sure to be a collector's item overnight. Over 100 prints were pre-sold before the unveiling in Dallas on October 7th, so call the gallery RIGHT NOW and order this newest gift of Godard - a prize for all of us who love the work of our favorite maestro of mayhem and a must for eveyone who likes helping kids in need.

Paige Godard Is Free

The following post is from www.michaelgodardfans.com

I have just arrived home this evening after spending the day (Monday Nov 6) with Michael & immediate family members. Paige Godard (age 16) passed away today at approximately 10AM.

Many of you did not know Paige but knew of her condition. She was a ray of sunlight & to the very end was not afraid or discouraged. She lived with a purpose in life. She fought a hard battle & succumbed to medulla blastoma. She will be missed , but never forgotten. Her life has helped others to be brave in their fight against cancer.

Michael asked me to tell all of his fans and supporters in all the galleries, the vendors and of course his valued staff in Henderson that without all of you he would not have been able to spend those treasured moments in this last year & a half. He was able to be with here and she was the a joy to us all.

There will be a service held for Paige and it will be open to any who may wish to attend. We will post the details as soon as we can so plans can be made. Paige wrote from time to time and one of the things she wrote was "Have you ever loved so much you just could not express it enough" Today it rings to be true , because she was loved and yet we just could never love her enough.

Prayers Needed

The amazingly talented artist Michael Godard and his family are going through a traumatic situation.

Paige, his 15 year old daughter who has been battling brain cancer has received a grim prognosis due to complications last week.

Michael recently completed the commissioned work, "Party With A Purpose" for the Dallas Margarita Society. It's the first time Godard has ever painted margaritas. As you may know, his signature works have martinis with risque olives. This time he used limes.

When you see this artwork, if you look closely in the sky, you will see Paige's name spelled out in the stars.....
